UPTEK HOLDS CONFERENCE ON OPEN INNOVATION IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

Yesterday was held the conference on Open Innovation in the Manufacturing Industry, organized together with ieTeam, where the challenges of innovation in different industrial sectors were explored and the strategies of leading companies in this field were known first hand.

Juanjo Gómez Giraldo, Director of UPTEK, opened the event, followed by Iñaki Lasa, who moderated a round table on the challenges of innovation in industry. Participating at the table were Jesús Fernández del Carmen, Director of Corporate Development and Digital Transformation at FAGOR EDERLAN, Leire Colomo Zulaika, Director of Innovation and Technological Development at AMPO, and Jokin Lopetegi, Director of Corporate Development and New Business at CAF.

Ainhoa Gorrotxategi, Industrial Director of DIMECO, and Ines Puyadena Isasti, Venture Client Unit Manager at GH Startup Factory (GH Grúas), explained how they have implemented open innovation in their respective companies.

Finally, mechanisms to boost open innovation were presented with the participation of Marian Gabilondo from BIND - Basque Open Innovation Platform, Ainhoa Unamuno, Project Manager at BIC Gipuzkoa, Javier González, Business Development and Innovation Manager at EIT Manufacturing, and Aritz Arteche, Director of SMART EUREKA CLUSTER.

The event provided valuable tools and insights to foster open innovation in the manufacturing sector, highlighting the importance of collaboration and the adoption of new technologies.
