The 4th edition of the Talent, Entrepreneurship and Industry Forum, organized by UPTEK and IMH Campus, was held on December 14. The event was attended by students, people managers and entrepreneurs in industrial startups.
The forum began with a welcome by Xabier Ortueta, CEO of AFM Cluster, and the institutional greeting by Maialen Gurrutxaga, mayor of Elgoibar. Afterwards, the award for the best industrial entrepreneurship project IMH Campus 2022/2023 was given to ZURUBI AUTOMATIKS, formed by students of the Innovation Degree of the Dual Engineering School: Gorka Ayora, Mikel Garitano, Unai Gastañares, Jone Gómez, Markel López and Asier Oñederra.
ZURUBI AUTOMATIKS consists of a system of automatic and intelligent ladders to solve the difficulty of access and lack of safety in the maintenance of the upper part of the machines in large machinery industries and refineries.
In preparing the project, the students have taken into account the welfare of workers and the profitability of companies, recognizing that safety and efficiency are fundamental to success in industrial work.
The event ended with a panel discussion on how talent drives innovation and business growth, approaches and initiatives to stimulate the entrepreneurial mindset, and technological knowledge and skills highly demanded by the industry. The panel included Nerea Otxoa, from the people department of DANOBATGROUP, Lourdes Gundín, from the people area of AFM Cluster, Jon Ander Fidalgo, Business Developer at HODEIA DIGITAL, and Gorka Ayora, student of the Dual Engineering School of IMH Campus.
