18 June, 2024Within the framework of Ekin Day, Álava Emprende presented its annual awards, which aim to recognize the trajectory of successful entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial projects in the region. With this initiative, Álava Emprende aims to promote entrepreneurship, with the support of the Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, the Provincial Council of Álava, the Basque Government, through the SPRI Group and BIC Araba, and Fundación Vital Fundazioa.
Data Value Management, a consultancy firm specializing in the implementation of Big Data techniques in companies, has won the Emprender en Álava Award, which recognizes the best young entrepreneurial career in the region. This technology company, located in the Alava Technology Park, is driven by Olaia Gómez and Borja Balparda and in the last two years has increased its turnover by more than 140%. Currently, there are already 12 employees specialized in process optimization and business management using the most advanced data analytics techniques.
Data Value Management was incorporated in 2019, the following year it already participated in the BIND 4.0 acceleration program and in 2021 it became part of Araba Industry 4.0. In 2022, they left BIC Araba to move to their own office in the Alava Technology Park and last year they were selected as one of the 100 best start-ups in the state by APTE, the network of technology parks in Spain. They participate in the Basque Open Industry.
